January Wildlife and Extreme Weather

In the month of January we had some extremely cold weather where for a few days the wind chill made it feel like single digit temperature. Below are some photos taken during some cold, snowy days in January .

Then one beautiful day came the month of January when the temperature hit 60 degrees, and I got such a treat when I looked out at the swamp and saw my favorite bird, a Great Bird Heron.  It is such a majestic looking bird. I love to photograph Herons.
