Red Foxes Visit in February

One day during the month of February I looked out the out window and sighted a Red Fox on the property. I quickly grabbed my camera to take some photos, then, the Fox ran off.

About an hour later, after it had started to snow I noticed two Foxes came back, but only one Fox came near the house while the other one stayed in the wooded area. I was able to get some photos of the one before both Foxes ran away.

I think the two Foxes were a couple. Their mating season is from December till February and the young are born about 60 days later. Last year I had the good fortunate to make one of my favorite photographs, a female Red Fox with her young. Guess I will have to wait and see if any opportunities present themselves like that this year.
