Catbird, Gray

The Gray Catbird is a medium-sized dark gray bird except there is a small chestnut brown patch under its tail which can be seen because the bird will stand with its tail erect from time to time. Additionally, the Gray Catbird has a black beak, a black cap at the top of its head, a black eye, and a blackish tail. You may not always see the Catbird but you will know the Catbird is near because of its distinctive sound, almost as if it is meowing. If you want to attract these birds to your property they love berries so if you have space in your yard add this to the plant list. If not, you can still attract the Gray Catbird because the bird loves suet, and meal worms are also a big favorite.
